Program: Michigan State REU: Advanced Computational Research Experience
Location: East Lansing, MI
Dates: May 20 - July 26, 2024.
Eligiblity: U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
Applications Due: February 29, 2024.

Program: UW-Eau Claire REU: Advancing high-performance computing opportunities in undergraduate research at UW-Eau Claire to meet challenges of multidisciplinary computational science
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Dates: June 3 - August 9, 2024.
Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
Applications Due: March 1, 2024.

Program: LSU Interdisciplinary Research Experience in Computational Sciences (NSF REU)
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Dates: May 27-August 3, 2024
Eligibility: US citizens or permanent residents with at least 1 semester of college remaining.
Applications Due: March 1, 2024

Program: ACCESS Student Training and Engagement Program (STEP)
Location: Initial training in Miami, FL; work done both in Urbana-Champaign, IL and virtually
Dates: May 13 - May 24 in Miami; June-July in Champaign; July-August virtually
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students attending US-based institutions. Priority given to underrepresented populations in STEM.
Applications Due: Extended to March 3, 2024.

Program: WSU/UHCL REU: Advancing Data-Driven Deep Coupling of Computational Simulations and Experiments
Location: Vancouver, WA or Houston, TX, depending on project
Dates: May 25 - August 2, 2024
Eligibility: US citizen or permanent resident enrolled as an undergraduate
Applications Due: March 15, 2024.

Program: NCSA: The Future of Discovery: Training Students to Build and Apply Open Source Machine Learning Models and Tools (FoDOMMaT) (NSF REU)
Location: Urbana-Champaign, IL
Dates: May 20-July 26, 2024
Eligibility: US citizens or permanent residents enrolled in a degree program, 18+ by the start of the program.
Applications Due: March 17, 2024.

Program: CSUN REU: Applying Data Science on Energy-efficient Cluster Systems and Applications
Location: Northridge, CA
Dates: June 3 - July 26, 2024
Eligibility: US citizens or permanent residents with at least one year of undergraduate schooling remaining. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related majors.
Applications Due: March 17, 2024.

Program: Los Alamos National Laboratory Computational Sciences Undergraduate Internship Program
Location: Los Alamos, NM
Dates: Summer 2024
Eligibility: College students enrolled in 12+ units
Applications Due: March 31, 2024.

Program: TACC Cyberinfrastructure Research for Social Change (NSF REU)
Location: Austin, TX
Dates: June 3-August 2, 2024
Eligibility: Enrolled undergrads, 18+ at the start of the program. US citizens and permanent residents, with one additional spot for someone who doesn’t meet these criteria.
Applications Due: April 1, 2024.

Program: Los Alamos High Performance Computing Undergraduate Student Internship
Location: Los Alamos, NM
Dates: Varies
Eligibility: US citizens who meet the course requirements, typically juniors

Program: iRODS Consortium Internships
Location: Remote
Dates: June-August, 2024
Eligibility: US citizens.

Program: NERSC Computing Sciences Student Program
Location: Berkeley, CA
Dates: 10-12 weeks, varies by project
Eligibility: Juniors and seniors.
